Its energy base as taught and transmitted by Jose Figueroa is that of the unified traditions of Reiki. This is: Usui Japanese (Reido Reiki , Komyo Reiki , Gendai Reiki honouring the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai). Also the lineage Teno Hira Ryoji, which comes from T.Eguchi Sensei, a Usui student.

Jikiden Reiki lineage energy is also part of the Reijukido heritage although at natural therapies we don’t teach or practise Jikiden Reiki as such!

In fact we teach Reiki and healing in its unified states rather that as many independent and different entities, while also going quite beyond the traditional modern japanese attitudes to it and touching upon subjects not normally visited in Reiki neither in its western or modern japanese forms. However enjoying the beauty and wisdom of the japanese lineages is a central part of Reijukido, the other traditions that form the Reijukido style of healing are: Usui Tibetan (traditional tibetan and Raku lineages) and the Takata line( Usui Shiki Ryo Ho) as well as the Jo Rei tradition, Tibetan Budhist healing and mantric practices, classical teurgical methods from the western tradition and the latest understandings on Psico Neuro/ Inmunio / endocrinology.

What is Reiki?

The word Reiki is Japanese and means vital universal energy. “Rei” refers to universal energy, which according to the Eastern Traditions, rules the intrinsic mechanisms of life and the natural processes. Ki refers to the vital individual energy that is present in every living being. This vital energy is the base of well known medical modalities such as acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

The Reiki treatment brings together both energies. The Reiki therapist applies this energy in a variety of ways, in order to administer it to the body of the patient. Most commonly, hands are used through gentle touch. Therefore helping to balance his/ her energy and harmonize body, mind and emotions.

In a healthy person energy flows through their physical body and across all their organs and cells, regulating the vital functions. In an unbalanced person, through illness or mental/ emotional issues, this energy is hindered from flowing freely and this can affect specific organs and bodily functions.

During a Reiki Treatment, the therapist will cover all affected organs/body parts of the patient as well as will give a more general treatment in order to induce a general estate of well being and relaxation.
